When i walk i get hot legs that are quite painful and i have to rub them, is this normal? It feels like the nerve endings gets hot and it is uncomfortable, any idea if anyone else gets this and is it normal. I am 40 years old and have always gotten this feeling in my legs. I also have a knee injury which causes me problems but that is another issue altogether. |
You may have tight muscles in your lower back that are pressing into the nerves going to your legs to cause that to happen. Freeing up your back muscles will get rid of the pressure on the nerves to get rid of the pain and here's how to free them up:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. |

If you want to do your inner thighs you need to do some other excersies. For example squeezing a pillow between your knees for a minute. | Regardless of what anybody will say, theres no such thing as spot reduction when it comes to fat. Unfortunately the truth is to have the firm, tone legs and butt you want...you have to lose most the body fat covering the muscles in that area. Like I said you cant just do any workout to simply reduce only the fat in that area, when you burn off the body fat it comes off as a whole and not in any certain area your working out. If you hear any otherwise its complete bull crap. Id say the best thing to do is start working out your legs and butt and do some cardio...etc. treadmill, bike, ellipticals are great for legs and butt. So sorry it isnt any simpler but to get what you want your gonna have to lose a lil weight (body fat covering the muscles) and strengthing the muscles in that area to firm up your legs and butt. Your diet is the most important thing. Just working out your butt and legs alone wont work if you have too much body fat covering the muscles. So just take in less calories than you have been and start working out your legs and butt and start building muscle there while burning body fat. Thats the only way its done know matter what stupid product on TV that says this will do this or that. Its all about your diet and body fat covering your muscles before you see the tone in your legs and butt. Good Luck |

You need to lose the weight on your legs which means lots of aerobic exercise. This is the only way to lose fat, it's over your entire body and you can't spot reduce only on one area.
Couple that with some light resistance exercises to work your legs. Things like lunges and deep squats can really work your legs. If you need to use more weight, hold a couple of dumbells in your hands while you do them. Don't go too heavy as you don't want bodybuilder legs. Just take it easy and do as many as you can. |
